I stumbled upon your website, and I must admit that I’m more than intrigued about what you are doing. I am an English teacher in Houston, and a bit of a cyclist as well. How were you inspired to do this? Have you had any problems with repairs or replacement parts? Is your funding totally through donations? I have not read all of your commentary yet, so some of these questions have probably been addressed in your posts. If so, please forgive me. I guess my intrigue with your project is a result of its simplicity. Ride a bike, commit to a journey, help people, explore and learn along the way. I’m drawn to your story in the same way I was drawn to Krakauer’s Christopher McCandless in his book Into the Wild. Keep doing what you’re doing. “May the wind be at your back.”

Hi Andrew!

I have a friend in Peru…one of the the most amazing, warm hearted women I have ever met and if you want I can find out her address…she used to babysit for Lea and do housekeeping in Miami to help build a house for her family in Peru…Last year she moved back and we miss her terribly…If you want I can find out if she will be on your route…Let me know! Give Allison and David a big hug and kiss for us!

Love,
Janet,Lee and Lea
